I have had an exciting few weeks travelling down to London, culminating in a performance with the Philharmonia Chorus at the Royal Festival Hall under the baton of Charles Dutoit.
It was wonderful to sing in such a fabulous hall, despite battling my way through a storm to get there, and lovely to see so many people come out to enjoy the beautiful music. I always feel it is a privilege to sing as part of a much bigger work and to have the music flood around you, especially when performed so well by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
An Anniversary Concert
1 March 2014 at 7.30pm with the New English Orchestra & Singers, St Peter’s Church, Harold Wood, Essex.
The programme promised a wonderful array of music, including extracts from Charpentier’s Te Deum and Handel’s Messiah, the spiritual Somebody’s Knocking at Your Door, Mangersta Beach by Aidan O’Rourke and Pachelbel’s Canon.
Lots of love, Sarah
